We had a great meeting last Saturday and we're so proud to announce the start of the new 9to5 Milwaukee board. Thanks everyone who voted and ran in this last month's election. Check out the new board here.
Here's a quick action TODAY that we wanted to share with everyone.
Many working parents have limited or no flexibility to take time off work. School Conference leave is a family flexible work policy to enable working parents and guardians to take a little time to attend a child's educational activities. It's up on the Assembly floor this Tuesday! Can you take a minute today to be part of the solution?
Let’s pass the School Conference and Activity Leave Bill.
Call your WI State Rep TODAY on the switchline and ask for your State Assembly person: 1800-362-9472
Tell them you are a voter and you support bill number AB116, School Conferences and Activities Leave. Ask for their support. The School Conference and Activity Leave Bill would enable parents to more actively participate in their children’s education. This bill allows any parent working at a business with at least 50 employees to take up to 16 hours of unpaid leave in a 12-month period to support their child’s scholastic development. This is a solution that supports parental involvement without increasing the cost of doing business.
